In the Reading Room you can consult books and periodicals and view the microfilms. The room has 14 tables equipped for the use of laptops, for a total of 48 sockets.

In the Reference Room there are the most important bibliographical, biographical and lexicographic works, which are necessary for the research (about 22,000 volumes). 

The Manuscripts and Rare Section and Drawings and Prints Cabinet manages documentary collections, special archival collections, printed rarity with location 16 (and part of location 10), as well as iconographic collections (prints, drawings, photographs and postcards) with location GDS. From April 1st, new opening hours of the Manuscripts and Rare Books Hall: - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9-13:30 - Tuesday and Thursday at 9-17 The reference service will be available throughout the opening hours of the Room, with the possibility of picking up material from the deposits even in the afternoon.
